Editorial Policy

Our Standards

We publish content that is accurate, original, useful and clear. We do not publish articles that promise cures, exaggerate benefits or encourage readers to ignore medical advice.

How Articles Are Made

  1. Research: topics are chosen from reader questions and search interest, then researched using official and peer-reviewed sources.
  2. Writing: articles are written in plain language and cite their sources.
  3. Review: health claims are compared with the cited sources, and articles are revised when errors are found. See our Fact Checking Policy.
  4. Updates: articles are revised when guidance changes, and we are adding a “Last updated” date to every article.

Sources We Prefer

WHO, NIH, CDC, NHS, national medicines regulators, systematic reviews and peer-reviewed journals.

Use of AI Tools

Some articles are researched or drafted with the help of AI tools. AI is not treated as a source of medical facts: statements are based on the official sources listed at the end of each article, and we correct errors when readers or editors find them. Articles are not reviewed by a licensed medical professional unless a named reviewer and their credentials are shown on that article.

Independence and Advertising

Advertising and affiliate relationships never determine what we write or recommend. Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled.
